City of Berkeley Aquatics- Swim Instructor, Coach & Senior Guard, Berkeley CA, 2004 – 2020

Water Safety Instructor & Swim Team Coach. Conduct swim practices, motivating students, and instructing students athletes in game strategies and techniques.

Senior Guard. Supervise and evaluate aquatics programs, provide training and professional development for personnel and facilitate workflow and maximize effectiveness of the work environment.



Bay Area Community Resources, Ruth Acty Elementary School- After School Supervisor, Berkeley CA, 2015-2016

5th Grade Supervisor. Responsible for planning and supervising a developmentally appropriate child care program. Responsible for daily operations at the program site. Coordinate planning and implementation of daily programs. Provide leadership and supervision to childcare staff and children at all times; serving as a positive role model.

Spanish Teacher. 3 classes, ranging from 9th-10th grade, four days a week.

Role Model and Mentor. As an instructor at Stellar Prep, an all-boys school for the “underprivileged, inner city youth,” I also functioned as a role model and mentor to the young men who attended my classes.

Curriculum Designer. By approval of the head of school, I introduced a new curriculum that added a focus on reading and writing to complement the oral focus in the existing program.



ARC Lazier Middle School- Grades 6-8 Tutor, East Oakland, CA, 2005-2009

After School Bilingual tutor. Worked one-on-one with elementary school students in subjects including Spanish, Math, English, Science, reading, and study skills.
